Don't panic - the game is not closing yet. We're giving you time until Saturday to write IC posts, if you wish to do so that is. On Saturday, we will write a final IC post, where everyone can contribute and write what happened to their characters following the game's conclusion. Players who are no longer in the game are allowed and encouraged to contribute to the post anyway!

Following the Saturday mod post, please don't write any more IC posts. Still feel free to continue existing ones, though.

Finally, a few words from each member of the mod team:

Steam:
Well, it was one hell of a ride. This was the first game I'd ever really modded and it was very much a learning experience for me. But it was a fun one! While preparing and running UG@, a lot happened to me IRL, but this game and the friends I made here were always a constant.

I do hope to be able to return as a mod for Uni, but the hunt for a better job still continues, and I don't know what the future will hold. That said, warts and all, UG@ was a good experience for me, and I'll never forget it.

Tengu:
How time flies. It feels like it wasn't so long ago that I was thinking about the original character I'm going to app to this game that's starting in a few months. It feels like it wasn't so long ago that I joined UG@ as a mod (mostly to run missions - but over time, I became one of the people running the whole show!). And now, it's all ending.

I admit that the game wasn't perfect. We made some mistakes, including a few big ones. Some things that happened were a huge headache, to both mods and players. We still have a lot of improve.

And yet? Despite those flaws, this game was still an amazing experience for me. I loved playing it, I loved running it. It introduced me to great new canons, and to great new people. For me, RP is mostly about cooperative storytelling; and I think that the story we created together is really a pretty great one.

Soon, SRWU will start. A completely new game, one that does some things differently, one that will hopefully avoid the mistakes of the past while keeping the good stuff. I must admit, I'm pretty excited for it. Old players, new players, those who didn't join UG@, those who dropped it, and those who sticked with it to the end - I hope to see you all there!

Cubey:
I still remember joining the mod team - my duties were coordination and sharing important info between other mods and the players, and maintaining a few of the game's pages. I wouldn't suspect that I'd end as one of UG@'s main mods. That I would end up writing the endgame plot for it.

From the original mod team, only Steam remains in this position to the end. Zappa is still with us, though not as a mod, while TK and Nerdo had to leave the game for RL reasons. The game would never have started without the four of you guys. You have my thanks and gratitude.

But even if mods run the game, it's the players who make it flourished. Thanks, everyone. Together you've created something really cool. Maybe not flawless as Tengu said. Maybe there were times of frustration. But in the end, it was fun. And being fun is what matters most in a game. Funny thing is, initially I was not even interested in UG@, when I heard of it after UG1 ended. But I decided to give it a go - and it was totally worth it.

I won't say good-bye. I'll say - see you around. See you around in SRWU.
