I Will Head Towards Tomorrow

The ruler of the Beastmen finally makes his presence known, intent on making his move against humanity.  With Beastmen flocking to him and the massive mobile fortress Teppelin, a confrontation with the Chalice's forces is inevitable.  But onto the battlefield charges a princess of another lineage, intent on securing the path to her own ascension.

Mission "Those Who Follow The Sun" debrief

The mission Those Who Follow The Sun ended on a sad note, but was otherwise a victory.

The mission log can be read here.

Both of the canons for this mission (Ironlock Solid, And Though I Walk) are now finished.

Important Notes:
- Nicolai and his Id Beast army have been annihilated by the orb of light. That's one more god-like being White Chalice defeated.
- Han Zhi was killed by Cheng. All of Gucun turned away from him when it turned out it was him who activated the time bomb.
- Wang Ding Bang died in a suicide charge on Han Zhi. This saved the lives of many other Gucun soldiers.
- The State of Gucun is once again under the rule of the Kwans. It's safe for the time being, but what will happen in the future, only time will tell...
- Sophia broke free from Nicolai's control, but she stayed a vampire, and was destroyed by the orb of light like the rest of his creations. She died peacefully.

Damages:
- Rushbird is almost completely wrecked and it will take at least 2 weeks before it can be used again.
- Most other units on this mission suffered some degree of damage that should be repaired before the next sortie.

With her post-canon canon ending, Devon will be very busy off-Chalice so I'm retiring the character. She may make cameos from time to time, but overall I won't play her anymore - her arc ran its course. TWICE.

But it's been a blast.
